Pity Over Peanuts

Now now...that's what you get...performance incentive...bonus ...93 per cent. I wonder if that is worth it at all!!! Dunno what to think. I wonder why the organisation doesn't understand that to get better work you need to pay better. This isn't social service.
I understand that our job is not really job in the strict sense of the word. That it is more academic oriented. But one needs to be realistic too. Otherwise it might just remain a stop-gap arrangement or a springboard for many people. Would the institute want that?
