Chak De India !!!

The day would go down in history...India wins the first Twenty20 world cup. And The fact that it played against pakistan made the victory even sweeter.

India was badly smashed in the ICC world cup held in West Indies earlier this year. Not only did they lose to Bangladesh but (much like their counterpart, pakistan) could not manage to progress to the super eight either. The team's shameful exit disheartened the entire nation and must have made the selectors think hard. For days, all the news channels could do was dissect the reasons for India's dismal performance. I guess now, it'll be a different story altogether.

Not only did both India and Pakistan defeat Australia, they played very well too. Both were young and energetic teams and watching them play was like a breath of fresh air. In anycase, no one really expected such a young and inexperienced team to make it to the finals. It was exciting and yet a bit feverish. But winning was fabulous. We just DID it!!!
